Meet Renae, Founder of Psalm & Waters
As a young girl, I was the one always carrying my baby cousin. By my teenage years, I was the neighborhood caregiver. When my little brother was born during my late teens, the moment I held him, my life's path became clear. At eighteen, I stepped into my first role at an early childhood center, and I never looked back. Across 10 years in childcare, 7 of them as a preschool teacher and private nanny, I learned what families truly need, and where the traditional industry falls short. Psalm & Waters was born from that exact realization. I evaluated my strengths, my story, and what I care about most deeply: people, children, and walking alongside families through their most delicate and challenging seasons. This agency became the clear, necessary answer.

My why is every child, cared for as if they were my own. I have spent 10 years in childcare, 7 of them as a preschool teacher and private nanny, loving other people's most precious treasures, and I know the weight a parent carries when they hand their child to someone else.

But my vision is bigger than placements. As I build this business, it will fund my next adventures: reaching children and families walking through their hardest seasons, bringing strength to homes that need it most, and building a safer, brighter community one little one at a time.
I started Psalm & Waters in Washington with this foundational calling. I began by serving my neighbors, one family at a time, because that is how real change takes root. Every family I serve today helps me reach the families of tomorrow, carrying this mission further than I can yet see.
